Here at Chic Mother and Baby we showcase a lot of fashion, stationery, party and accessories but we also love to share interesting packaging ideas.
This brilliant packaging solution designed by product designer Naoto Fukasawa for fruit juice box to imitates the feel of real fruit skin.
“I imagined that if the surface of the package imitated the colour and texture of the fruit skin, then the object would reproduce the feeling of the real skin.”
I wonder how it is produced, so good I want to eat the packaging :D and if it's biodegradable!?

i Heart Ashley Meaders
Ashley Meaders never disappoints. Everything she makes and styles has a romantic and unique touch to every event. *sigh* Think garlands, paper crafts, pegs, straws, stationery, flowers everything and anything a party desires.
Metallic Purses
These metallic animal clutch/purses are wicked cool by tsurubride. Pretty unique and make super cool gifts :D
Love the story behind the name: In the old Japanese tale The Crane Wife, a poor sail-maker finds an injured crane on his doorstep with an arrow through its wing. The man takes the crane in and nurses it back to health. After he releases the crane, a woman appears at his doorstep with whom he falls in love and marries. Because they need money, his wife offers to weave a wondrous sail that they can sell at the market, but only if he agrees never to watch her make it and never have her create another one. The sail sells for a tidy profit and they live comfortably. But the man gets greedy and gets his wife to weave another sail, which she does – again making him promise that this will be the last and that he will not watch her weave it. This sail is even more beautiful then the last, and sells for even more. But again, the man gets greedy and haves her make one more. As the previous times she makes him promise that this will be the last and that he will not watch her weave it. The man is too curious though and he eventually peeks in to see what she is doing and is shocked to discover that at the loom is a crane weaving the wind from her wings into the sails. The crane, seeing him, flies away and never returns.

Puppy Love
Aww, makes my heart melt. My lovely friend (who has his own intentions to start a blog too) emailed me these amazing puppy floral arrangement and I just had to share it with everyone.
FYI: I googled searched and found these exact photos on the internet, but no mention of the artist's name. I would like to give due credit.

I heart Jack Spade
How brilliant is this changing mat! Sometimes an Angel, sometimes a Devil, its different everyday, every hour and every minute.
This one is for the men of the house. Jack Spade is noted for their range of practical, sturdy and stylish men messenger's bag (alternatively a diaper bag - nappies and laptop can fit :).
I think I have seen some of Jack Spade's bags at Incu, Paddington or I wonder if its in DJs?
ABC Chairs
Late friday find - how stunning are these chairs by Rotterdam designer Roeland Otten ! I wish I had a large studio space for the whole alphabet.

It's a Matter of Taste
Heard of an eggplant shoe? or a raspberry purse? I am sure this is not what you picture...
Stunning visualisation! Fashion is a matter of taste - a very succinct statement. Found via Coute Que Coute an art/fashion/design blog I follow. There are unusual pieces of art and design but definitely inspiring textures, fashion, photography and thought-provoking images.

Plantable Packaging
This is awesome! People can be so innovative. We found Dandelion's made from corn reUsable products and now this. Pangea Organics have eco-friendly and fun packaging for their skin care products. The packaging is plantable as it is infused with seeds and grows to a basil plant! A coconut soap holder is included in the pack too.
The above image is the holiday packaging from last year. Wish I had found this earlier!!
"Born out of the desire to do right by the planet, this year Pangea Organics has a great gift idea to let you in on the fun, too! After two years in development, Pangea just released a series of holiday gift boxes that actually grow Spruce Trees. Yes, that’s right. Just like their plantable packaging that grows organic, edible sweet basil, the box itself grows a tree. Just soak the box for a day, and plant it in the earth. If everyone plants their holiday gift box and bar soap box this year, collectively, we will have planted 122,000 trees which is equivalent to not driving 30 million miles in one year! Multiply that out by 75 years, the average lifespan of a Spruce, and that’s 2 billion, 250 millions that we’re collectively offsetting!"

Rabbit Made out of Carrots!
It is good to know how other industries are thinking of taking more eco-friendly approaches. This is a promo poster for a commercial printer's new adaption to an environmentally friendly alternative is vegetable based ink. It's creative, cute and gets the message across instantly!
